The baysys mobile application was developed to facilitate communication between the Trucking Companies which move intermodal (container) freight and the Freight Relocation Engineers (truck drivers to you and me) who do most of the work. v1.0 is our initial product and were excited to introduce it. Future versions of the product will include very sophisticated features (well keep those secrets to ourselves for now) for more than truck drivers. Use of the baysys mobile application requires signing up to use the baysys platform.
• My Loads
The primary screen in the baysys mobile app is the "My Loads" screen. There, the Driver will be able to see all loads assigned to him/her. For Owner/Operators they will be able to look at a loads rate and mileage before they accept the load. They may choose to accept or reject the load based on the rate per mile, delivery date, etc. Once they do so that load will be unassigned so the Dispatcher can then re-assign it to someone else. All accepted loads will appear on the "My Loads" screen while in progress. Gate PIN codes for the port will be on the load summary so they are easy to access at port gates.
When the Driver is viewing the "Load Detail" screen they may select the icon to the right of the pickup or drop-off location. A window will pop up with various GPS navigation tool options to choose from. baysys will populate the app with the location data so the Driver an easily initiate navigation to the next location.
• Gate Tickets
From the "Load Detail" screen the Drivers can select "Gate Tickets" on the navigation panel at the top. There, they can take a picture of the out-gate and in-gate tickets they receive from the port when they pick up and drop-off a container. Those documents will be automatically attached to the load on the baysys platform so once the Driver accepts the picture to be used there is nothing else they need to do.
• Delivery Confirmation
Also, on the navigation panel at the top of the "Load Detail" screen is Delivery Confirmation. Once the Driver arrives at the location where the goods are to be delivered (or picked up) they navigate to this screen. They add the name of the individual who will be signing the proof of delivery (POD) because, lets face it, most of us cant read our own names from our signatures. Once the name is added they can hand the mobile device to the signer for them to add their "John Hancock". That signature, the name, date and time and location are automatically added to the POD and a copy is then immediately available in the load on the platform.
• Documents
Drivers can also navigate to the "Documents" screen to upload any other documentation the customer wants included with the load.
• Past Loads
Completed loads will be available for the Driver for a significant period of time in the event they need to review any details related to those loads.
